Established mid-1970's, Astley is one of the longer lasting small (5acres) commercial vineyards. It was, in its time, the most northerly vineyard in the world! Astley is dedicated to the production of quality wine - using best modern vineyard practices including low yields (under 3 tons/acre) are produced which concentrate site and variety characteristics. The wines are made up at Three Choirs by award-winning winemaker Martin Fowke.
Since the first significant production in 1983 it has consistently won awards in every year. All their wines are now Quality Wine status.

Kerner, Madeleine Angevine.
Also Siegerrebe (especially for late harvest), Phoenix and various small parcels, some experimental.

Still Dry, Medium Dry and Late Harvest white
Sparkling white
All Astley wines are English Quality Wine status, many have ageing potential, and three current wines for sale have received coveted IWSC awards. The vineyard has won over 100 awards since 1984 and is recommended in Rick Stein's guide.
Visitors' Facilities:
Free entry to enjoy the surroundings and explore the vineyard. Tastings and sales available.
Informal, personal and informative guided tours can be arranged for groups of 12-20, by appointment.

Mostly direct from vineyard (approx 90%). Distributors Evertons, Churchills, and seek out these wines at the '77'Wine Bar in Hampstead.
