Well-managed and attractive, overlooking the Vale of Evesham on SW facing slopes with light sandy loam over gravel subsoil; local climate enjoys below average rainfall and above average sunshine, well suited to red wine varieties.
The first 3.5 acres were planted in 1996 and has now been increased to 14; there are plans to raise the acreage to around 20 acres eventually. Given the rapid recognition of the first wines produced, this is a vineyard to watch for the future as the new production comes on stream. The wines are made at both Three Choirs and Chapel Down Wineries.
