INTERNATIONAL WINE CHALLENGE AWARDS DINNER FOR FATHER AND SON TEAM
Camel Valley Vineyard has won Britain’s only Gold medal in the 2005 International Wine Challenge (IWC) for the 2001 Camel Valley ‘Cornwall’ Sparkling Brut.
Bob and Sam Lindo are flying up to receive their formal accolade at the International Awards Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Wednesday 7 September. The vineyard will also be presented with a bronze award for their Bacchus and a ‘seal of approval’ for their Seyval.
Said Bob: ‘To represent Britain at these International Wine Oscars is a great honour. We will be seated alongside other Gold Medal winners from the world’s top vineyards and it’s a dream come true’.
The UK Government for official functions in Brussels is currently using the 2003 vintage of Camel Valley ‘Cornwall’ during the UK’s EU Presidency.
Footnote: The vineyard having doubled in size over recent years is expecting a bumper crop. There are plans to double the vineyard size again this coming winter.
